He is founder and chairman of the board of trustees of Crimestoppers, vice-patron of the Intelligence Corps Museum, chairman of the trustees of Ashcroft Technology Academy, chancellor of Anglia Ruskin University and a trustee of Imperial War Museums.

Isabel Oakeshott is an award-winning political journalist and commentator. She was political editor of the Sunday Times and co-wrote Farmageddon with Philip Lymbery and Inside Out with Peter Watt.
