Synopsis

The third book in the series takes Jon and his friends on an unexpected and deadly journey. Forces beyond their control have combined to bring about the downfall of the Seers and all they stand for. Ebon has returned as if from the dead, only this time he has powerful allies, the Wizards of Magog; age-old enemies of the Seers. Many leagues from their destination, Jon, Hamill and Auger Wind-rider have been thrown into a fight for survival, not only for their own lives but also those of the Seers, who keep the earth-power in balance between their world and that of the Wizards. Manipulating the unsuspecting Ebon; the Wizards are determined to force their way back into the world of the Seers, from whence they were banished millennia ago. Old and valued friends have sought Jon out and together they endeavour to combat the ever present influence of the malevolent seer. Sorrow at the loss of one of their little band weighs heavily on their minds as Ebon reaches out across the void that separates them, by means of the ‘Rod of Dread’. Creating a dark angel from Amethyst’s spent magic; Ebon seeks to rule over both worlds. Only Urim, the elusive and mysterious Seer, aided by the gallant group of friends, can stop him before the Wizards break through and wreak their revenge on the Seers. A battle of wills plays out across the land as opposing forces face each other for control of the earth-born energy that gives the Seers their power. Will Ebon at last be brought to account? Will Jon finally obtain that which he has sought after, to become a Seer? Who will prevail, the Seers or the Wizards? In this chapter of history from the Chronicles of the Sight, we discover the truth behind the mystery that is the Seer, Urim and why he has used Jon as a pawn in his games of life and death. Is he friend or foe...Time Will Tell.
