Her reporting on the issue has won her the Stella Prize and an Amnesty International award, among other accolades. She was formerly an investigative reporter for ABC Radio and a Middle East correspondent for The Global Mail. She was listed in Foreign Policy's top 100 women to follow on Twitter.
