Iran's interaction with its neighbours is a topic of wide interest. Houchang Chehabi is Professor of International Relations and History at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies, Boston University, USA.

Peyman Jafari is a PhD researcher at the International Institute for Social History, Amsterdam and Leiden University, in the Netherlands.

Maral Jefroudi is a Postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Media and Culture Studies at Utrecht University. She studied in Bogaziçi University, Istanbul and received her PhD from the International Institute of Social History (IISH) and Leiden University. She is a co-editor of Iran in the Middle East: Transnational Encounters and Social History (2015, I.B. Tauris).
