Synopsis
Richard Baxter (1615-1691) was an English minister of the Puritan period who wrote extensively on pastoral and theological themes. His Reformed Pastor, Saints’ Everlasting Rest and Dying Thoughts remain standard works even today.This volume contains three of Baxter’s evangelistic works – A Call to the Unconverted, Now or Never and Fifty Reasons to Turn to God without Delay. Evangelistic arguments simply pour out and, even allowing for the Puritan tendency to duplicate points in different guises, this shows the extent to which preachers in the past knew how to reason with souls. A real example, from which preachers can learn for their gospel ministry.A Call to the Unconverted was first published in 1657 and Now or Never in 1662. These works have been completely re-typeset for re-issue in this form.
