I did and what I learned was you never know when the right person, opportunity or event is just around the corner to propel you toward heights of success you never thought you could achieve. I became a teenage mother at age 13 and again at 17. Yet I finished high school and enlisted in the military because I saw it as the ticket to help me live a goal-oriented life. During my time in service, I earned a degree. What I didn’t do was consider that all choices about what I wanted for myself had been taken away from me because I had made mistakes. A girl’s chances of graduating from high school drop by half when she gets pregnant. Doing it twice means her odds of getting that degree drop off the scale. I am someone who beat those statistics with determination and spiritual growth. I wrote this book to encourage others to do it, too.
