Synopsis

I decided to print this book because I believe this is one way to deal with climate change and the risk of wildfires. You could stick your head in the sand and pretend climate change is not real, but the weather is getting worse and it doesn’t appear that it’s going to be getting any better. Only by designing buildings properly will they be capable of withstanding wildfires. Climate change is real and there is nothing anyone can do about that. Even if humans totally cut our carbon footprint to zero today, the weather will continue to get worse because of the temperature changes already affecting the planet. We better be ready by designing buildings to withstand the changes in weather and the rise in wildfires. Although this book does not contain a lot of standard construction details, I may write a book on the subject if there is enough interest.Luis Ayala, Retired Architect (Florida & Alabama)

First you gotta find a good clean (legible) copy and make sure it’s the latest version (not always easy). Some documents found on the web are missing some pages or the image quality is so poor, they are difficult to read.
