Debbie Smith is a native of North Carolina. She is the mother of three beautiful children, each of whom inspired this story. She was inspired to write this book when she found herself with an empty nest herself. The book was written on a park bench in Brussels, Belgium while thinking of her family.

C.P. Logan has been a professional painter and teacher in Greensboro for 30 years. She has shown her work in galleries across the country and continues to teach oil painting classes in her studio and in regional workshops. She is the illustrator of another book, Goodnight Greensboro.
