A revival of the 'anatomy' genre that situates self-help within its proper context of phrenological and humoral theories of behavior. The author, in his unchecked ambition to become the first true Anglo-Existentialist philosopher, begins his project mired in delusional Elizabethan fancies and gradually regresses through the English language until ending in a confused hodgepodge of Neo-Saxonisms. The work of “perfect incoherence” that results, despite the bewhatled state of its creator, may some day be worth the perusal of linguistic scholars who wish to provide a modern translation of the work.
