The text opens with coverage of foundational concepts in descriptive statistics, including frequency distribution, central tendency, and variability. Additional chapters guide students through their first journey into inferential statistics.
The book is highly accessible, features clear examples and graphs, and challenges students to apply what they learn to a variety of situations. It includes step-by-step instructions on using IBM SPSS Statistics.
The revised second edition includes new tables that illustrate effect sizes for t-tests. Additionally, the second edition includes small text corrections throughout and updated interior design to increase readability.
