The Rev. Michael Alphonso Cousin is an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, having served over 10 pastoral charges during his ministerial journey. Rev. Michael A. Cousin is the fourth son out of five born to Bishop Philip Robert Cousin, Sr. and Dr. Margaret Joan Cousin, a former Episcopal Supervisor of Missions. Rev. Cousin is a proud graduate of Alabama State University, where he earned his BA in Political Science. He has done further studying at Boston University School of Theology earning his M.Div. and Garrett-Evangelical Theological School earning his D.Min in Theology and Leadership. He is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.Rev. Cousin has served in various capacities from the Annual Conference to the General Conference. He has served as a member of the Revisions Committee, Compilations Committee, Strategic Planning Commission of the AME Church, as well as a member of the Annual Conference Board of Examiners. Additionally, Rev. Cousin has served as Treasurer to Chairman of the Annual Conference and Episcopal District Finance Committee. Rev. Cousin is the proud father of two sons, Michael A. Cousin, Jr. and Timothy Charles Cousin.
