1536 is a story that continues the early exploration and settlement of Canada by the French. The expedition leader of the voyagers was Jacques Cartier; this was to be his third and final voyage to the lands that will be known as Canada. This was a time when Aboriginals and the French were just meeting… a friendly time of exploring and trading in Canada’s history. This story turns into a rescue mission when three of Jacque’s men do not return after being sent to scout further west, further than anyone had ever travelled before. Fortier has been tasked by Jacques Cartier to take his men and rescue the missing scouting party. Fortier and his men find themselves unknowingly crossing into the Aboriginal spirit world in order to continue their search, trying to rescue the scouting party that had not returned. Exploration… to rescue mission… to horror story.
