Synopsis

The life of a doctor is nowadays often one of overwork, stress, and dissatisfaction. It was not always like that. I have had a most enjoyable career, working all over the world, but in particular working as a country GP in a beautiful part of southern England. My recollections are meant to illustrate the funny things that happen to a county doctor who kept lots of animals, enjoyed country pursuits, and raised his family in rural bliss. I was very fortunate.
