Synopsis

God’s mercy is always greater than our sins!

King David, a man after God’s own heart, sinned grievously. He committed adultery and arranged her husband’s death. For about nine months, he lived in this backslidden state, probably still going through the religious motions.

After God confronted him through Nathan, he confessed his sins and, amazingly, received immediate forgiveness. He would experience severe, lifelong consequences, though. Nevertheless, he was forgiven and his relationship with God was restored.

God’s Triumphant Mercy highlights David’s godly sorrow and repentance, expressed in the fifty-first psalm. While we may not have sinned in a similar manner, we do well to heed his example when we’re caught in any transgression.

There are twenty-three devotionals, emphasizing that we can always turn to the One who alone can forgive and restore us, no matter what. His mercy will always triumph for those who turn to Him.
