This book is a collection of block prints and a poem written and revised over the course of ten years. The author revised the poem twice after separate relapses. The block prints came about as an attempt to create an empathetic view of what addiction looks like in people. The author spent some of his hardest days under a bridge in Kensington, Philadelphia. The prints represent people and situations encountered during his time there. “I was blown away by the amount of queer and trans* folk I met, we have to get our people out. We must get everyone out. I hope to show that we are all people and human. I hope this book can help one person battling addiction or help someone understand addiction from the other side. If it does, this will all have been worth it. “
