Synopsis
The Tango is a dance of give and take. The partners move as one at times. Other times, the woman will be submissive to the gentleman’s direction. Nova's life is similar to a Tango, in that while much is given in her life, much has also been taken in another path. La’Diamond “Nova” Jones is a young DSGG (Down South Georgia Girl) and an aspiring dancer. After losing her mother at a very young age, she moves in with her grandparents. Nova grows up with the love of her grandfather and dances her way to a scholarship and acceptance into multiple schools. As she is moving in to adulthood, she finds comfort in her two best friends Kendra and Pepper. Also she falls into a puppy love affair with a badboy named Marcus Webb (Spyder). Spyder has quite the reputation with the hood rats, but that doesn’t faze Nova in the least. That is, until she gets the opportunity to better herself by going to a top university. Will she follow her dreams and dance away without him? Or does she pass up the opportunity and stay by his side? As she struggles to decide, she meets a mechanic named Robert Leavell who fixes much more than her car. In this roller coaster ride of emotional highs and lows, family history could prove to be repeating itself. What will be Nova’s fate? Will she dig up the answers she desires, or will her curiosity lead her down a rabbit hole of deception?
