Synopsis

Tommy Archer had his work cut out. As a Private Investigator he was working on a number of cases. Then one of them took a sinister turn. His client, Paul Dawson, wondered what his wife got up to when she went out on her own. He wanted her followed.

Tommy was under pressure to provide results, and the more questions he asked, the more complex things became. What was in the suitcase she was handed? Who was the bearded man she met? One of Maria's contacts was found strangled in his car boot and then another brutally murdered.

Tommy wondered why he'd got involved. But he had. With photos, and conversations secretly recorded, he knew more than DCI Jim Adamson and DS Kev Straker of Cleveland Police. It was tempting to tell them. . . but he'd be putting himself in a very difficult position.

And the next time he followed Maria Dawson Tommy was in for an even greater surprise.
