Jenny Copper is the pen name of children's book author and editor Gemma Cooper, who has been creating stories ever since she could read and write. A keen fossil hunter, Gemma loves writing stories and discovering new ways to write about the world we live in. Her books are published internationally, with many titles becoming best-sellers and firm favourites on children's bookshelves. Awards as a book editor include the 2025 Trade Children's Trade 0-8 Years award for 'Magic Searchlight Seek & Find Ocean Animals', and in 2023, Gemma won the BookTrust Storytime Prize as author for, 'Can You Tickle a Tiger?'.
