Born in New York as one of five children, Sharon Basiar is an American writer specialized in cookbooks. She loves cooking, especially baking, and spends a lot of time trying out new recipes for bread and cakes. In her books she talks about her experience and experiments in her kitchen. From young age Sharon travelled to different countries enriching her knowledge about baking, learning and collecting new and exotic recipes. Her accurate working process and the fact that she only uses high quality ingredients have made Sharon a true specialist when it comes to bread recipes. She has always been inspired by the ancient saying of Aesop: A crust eaten in peace is better than a banquet partaken in anxiety.
