Synopsis
In the bloody civil war against the tyrannical emperor Laomedon, the rebels' advance has stalled before the impregnable fortress of Gla. Perhaps Thallia, the daughter of its commander, might provide the means to engineer its fall? Harpalycus, the Mykerenaean military commander, attempts to use her but unlocks far more than he planned.

Xenon lives in Humberside. A retired teacher of chemistry, ex long distance walker and bird watcher. His interests include history and mythology. He began writing as some form of therapy after the death of his wife and has been writing ever since. This is his fourth book published with Matador.
