Chris Simpson was born on the 3rd February 1986. He spent his childhood in and out of hospital while undergoing 4 kidney transplants by the time he was 23. These days, Chris spends his time advocating for kidney patients as an ambassador for Kidney Wales, he is also a outside in member for a service user group of lived experience advice for glyndwr university.

It's been a pleasure to have such an instrumental involvement in creating his autobiography. From the first day I met Chris, I was blown away by his courage and determination. Learning the battles endured through his life. Thus, meandering the obstacles and barriers to become such an inspiring person, encouraged my curiosity to understand more. During the first few months of the Pandemic, I took it upon myself to support Chris by keeping in touch with him. This led to the development of his Autobiography. The emotional journey travelled together while penning the words of Chris' life became a labour of love for us both. I'm so proud to be any part of Chris' life let alone a legacy is a true honor.
