Richard and Mary Fleming have happily been together many, many years, and in their old age want only to spend time with each other. However, they cannot quite achieve what they hope for, and one night, their peace is interrupted as they are attacked by a group of threatening young men. Injured and scared, Richard waits for his wife Mary's return from hospital and dreams of some kind of vengeance. What he doesn't yet know is that him and his wife were not the only ones who suffered injuries from the altercation, and the story will soon become much more complex than he expected when the police become involved... No Consolation is a gripping crime mystery that will leave you guessing all the way up to its final pages.
