Synopsis

Alice has a map of the world on her bedroom wall. She can name every country as well as all the well-known landmarks. She dreams of seeing them all but has never had the opportunity to travel anywhere. One night she meets Finn, a rainbow fish, and together they take a trip over land and seas, visiting many of these exciting places. From eating croissants beside the Eiffel Tower to ice-skating in Central Park, Alice is about to experience a night like no other as she sets off on a magical adventure around the globe.

Lesley has always loved writing stories and poems. She wrote her first poem about the January sales aged nine. Since then Lesley has studied feature writing and has previously written for newspapers and magazines. The inspiration for this story came from a map of the world which hangs on her son's bedroom wall. Lesley works in television and lives in London with her husband and young son. Alice's Wish And A Magic Fish is her first book.
