Synopsis

Vibrantly illustrated and simply told, The Shabbat I Know is an ideal starting point for teaching children about Shabbat, the Jewish day of rest. As the sun sets and the moon rises, friends and family come together to say hello, light candles, prepare challah and drink grape juice. A peaceful Shabbat is wished for all!

Educational, engaging, and endearing, this book celebrates the community and peace found in observing Shabbat. Designed to encourage children to participate and enjoy this weekly holy day, The Shabbat I Know pays tribute to the beautiful simplicity of Shabbat rituals and the family memories they create.

Full of warmth and colour, this is a captivating and gentle story that children will want to read again and again.
