Synopsis

A HOLDING CELL

Jack lies on the rock hard bed. He groans. He goes over to the vomit blood-stained wash basin, sticks his head in it and wretches. He peers into the broken mirror. He sees an unshaven stranger with dark shadows under sunken eyes, a pale complexion and drawn cheeks. He realizes the stranger is him. He takes down his crumpled, ripped, urine-soaked jeans. He sits on the gruesome ingrained greeny brown toilet bowl. He tries to remember where he was on New Years Eve and what he got up to.

A comedy courtroom drama where a revelation creates a life changing twist no one saw coming.

À propos de l'auteur

School from age five to eighteen. Hated every minute of it. Total waste of my precious time. Learnt nothing. Parents plonked me on a piano at the age of eight. I took to it like a duck to water. By age of fourteen I was composing. By the time I left school I was deep into Blues, Jazz, Reggae, Funk, Soul and Latin American styles. After leaving school my dad asked me how I intended to make a living. I said I wanted to be a musician. He thought that was a great joke and told me to get a respectable, well-paying career behind me. He recommended the legal profession. I fell for it. I studied my butt off for a few years and actually managed to qualify as a lawyer. Six months later I quit to pursue a musical life as a contemporary pianist/composer. Mum was happy about it. Dad was not. I have played the piano in many formats in London, across Europe, Venezuela and the USA. A love of comedy led me to writing humorous verse, short stories, pulp fiction paperbacks, a novel and screenplays all with music biz themes.
