A chance encounter with a Chinese boy in the hutong of Beijing, China, gives an American tourist a glimpse into another's life and an experience to share. This story celebrates the connections we have, even as strangers, with cultures different from our own. And also, how these exchanges leave long-lasting memories, helping us to see the world differently if we aren't afraid to stop and meet someone new.

CATHY WENTWORTH is a first-time author who has traveled the world collecting stories as she encountered amazing people from different cultures. She is passionate about connecting through these unexpected moments. With this story, she hopes to give readers an understanding of a faraway place and a sense of similarities in their own lives. Before turning to writing, she was a teacher, winning the Christa McAuliffe Fellowship for Illinois, and is in the Who's Who in American Teachers. She lives in Central Illinois with her husband, Dennis, and Scottish Terrier, Riley.
