Synopsis

So many followers of Jesus dabble in Christianity but lack spiritual growth. The Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 commands Christian believers to make disciples that in turn disciple others.

The failure to make true disciples is blamed on our modern-day churches. They teach the importance of spiritual maturity but fail to provide an environment in which spiritual growth becomes a lifestyle. Following Closely in His Footsteps presents topics that will help all Christians achieve godly pursuits.

This discipleship program is unique. There are two workbooks available: one for the facilitator (answers provided) and one for the student. Every question and answer is backed up with Scripture. Unlike other discipleship studies, the facilitator encourages open discussion. As a result, great interaction occurs one to the other. Our times together always end by praying for participants' needs.

Also included are four life-changing teachings/testimonies that match a lesson's topic. The author taught these at women's conferences with over 1,000 people in attendance. She always ended these messages with examples of how God moved through answered prayer. The response to these teachings was overwhelming.

À propos de l'auteur

Gini Robillard and her husband, Joe, moved from Massachusetts to Springfield, Missouri, in 1991. She graduated from Central Bible College (cum-laude). She and her husband served as Assemblies of God pastors. Gini was Director of Women and Children Ministries at Springfield Victory Mission. She has been used multiple times as a women's speaker for over 1000 participants.When she took an Evangelism class taught by Dr. David Watson, she loved his enthusiasm for evangelizing the unsaved and teaching discipleship classes. He stressed that too many churches do not provide adequate discipleship training. Dr. Watson's passion passed to Gini. Since that time, she has taught discipleship classes at every church she attended. One student enjoyed her class so much that she took it three times; she is now using Gini's workbook to teach her own discipleship class.Since her retirement from CoxHealth Hospital last July, the Lord prompted her to create her own discipleship workbook, Following Closely in His Footsteps. She is currently teaching a bible study class in her home from the Book of Matthew.
