À propos des auteurs

Rough Guides are written by expert authors who are passionate about both writing and travel. They have detailed knowledge of the areas they write about--having either traveled extensively or lived there--and their expertise shines through on every page. It's priceless information, delivered with wit and insight, providing the down-to-earth, honest read that is the hallmark of Rough Guides.

Having edited a magazine in Shenzhen, worked as a newspaper reporter in Taiwan and co-authored over twenty guidebooks and coffee table books, Thomas Bird has kept himself reasonably busy over two decades spent in East Asia. His first book Harmony Express: Travels by Train Through China was published in 2023 by Earnshaw Books. He occasionally prints his musings in the South China Morning Post and other sympathetic publications. When he's not travelling, or writing, he can be found in a smoky live lounge somewhere pondering the Zhuangzi.

Martin Zatko has written or contributed to almost fifty Insight Guides and Rough Guides since making his debut in 2006, including those to Korea, Japan, China, Vietnam, Myanmar, Malaysia, India, Turkey, Greece, Morocco, Australia and Fiji.
