His international achievements, including his service as a Fulbright Scholar, were recognized by the U.S. Department of State. An American professor, he was awarded the honorary title of Doctor Honoris Causa by three foreign universities. In this book, as an expert witness in Sport Biochemistry, he exposed secrets of Soviet sports that were developed behind the Iron Curtain. Michael became the first scientist to publish the results of clandestine Russian sport’s studies on anabolic steroids and blood doping in the West. Michael’s story is a fascinating saga of inner strength, resilience, and perseverance.
