À propos de l?auteur
Daishu Ma was born and raised in China before moving abroad to study. As a child she spent her pocket money on ‘pulp comics’ and published her first short story, a sci-fi adventure, at 13 years old. Daishu enjoys experimenting with different styles depending on the project, choosing vibrant oil pastels and coloured pencils for her picture books. She now lives in East London and finds endless inspiration in nature and travelling.
Daishu’s playful characters, Tiger and Mei, star in two picture books, Tiger, It’s Snowing! (shortlisted for the BookTrust Storytime Prize) and Tiger, Don’t Worry!, with more adventures coming soon. Both stories are set against the beautiful backdrop of the tea-terraced hills in southern China. Daishu is also the creator of the Ada's World of Fun board books (Walker) and the illustrator of the Chinese edition of the bestselling non-fiction title Seven Brief Lessons on Physics.
