À propos des auteurs

Mathieu Pierloot is a children’s writer, born in Belgium in 1980. Author of novels, album texts and podcasts, he likes to fill his books with playlists and his house with vinyl records. He lives in Brussels with his wife, daughter and cat.



François Maumont was born in 1984 in Choisy-le-Roi. He lives in Asnières-sur-Seine and his drawings have appeared in the press and children's and adult books for around ten years.



Charis Ainslie is a professional translator, specialising in children's publishing, translating from French and Italian to English. She holds a degree in Modern Languages and a Master's in Interpreting and Translating.

Notable achievements include Brotherlands being shortlisted for the ALTA 2023 Plays in Translation Contest and This Last Piece of Sky shortlisted for the ALTA 2022 Plays in Translation Contest. Charis has also served as a mentor in the Foreign Affairs Theatre Translator Mentorship program and taught MA-level French Specialist Translation courses.
