As the adventure unfolds, the reassuring and recuring messages about child bereavement provide children and families with opportunities to pause and talk about loss and grief. It can be read to younger children; older children can read it for themselves. As well as being read by children and families, this story can be used by counsellors, therapists, schoolteachers and librarians.
