Synopsis

This anthology of poems is a journey through time, emotions, and consciousness. The ‘stories’ of the poems are narrated in a captivatingly evocative yet easy-to-follow language. Born amidst the turmoil of a thunderstorm in London, the poet’s life has been one of profound exploration and spiritual quest. The poems contained in this anthology thematise a
wide array of issues from the poet’s variegated experiences and the boundless world of his imagination. Despite the poet’s challenging childhood characterised by dyslexia, the poet rose above any limitations to engage his mind in producing excellent poetic masterpieces. In fact, the poet has gone on to win a Literary Prize for Verse. All these issues and more are reflected in different poems contained in this anthology. From his early disillusionment with education and the capitalist system, as expressed in “Nobody’s Fool” and “White Power and the Absolute Folly,” to his meditations on the futility
of war in “The Futility of War,” the author’s poetry critiques societal norms and seeks deeper truths. The poet’s nature poems, such as “Autumn” and “Radiant Earth,” celebrate the beauty and serenity of the natural world, while his spiritual poems strive to connect readers with the divine and the transcendent. His work is also laced with creative humour, as seen in “The Date” and “Small, Petite,” which underscores the versatility of his art. This anthology is not just a collection of poems; it is a testament to a life lived in pursuit of spiritual enlightenment, a critique of societal norms, and a celebration of nature’s beauty. You’re invited to join the poet on this life journey to ponder his insights, and to find solace and inspiration in his words. Enjoy these poems, and may they inspire you to reflect on aspects of [your own] life’s journey.
