The author has loved writing stories and creating poetry since she could read and write. She has thought of it as her way of expressing her emotions, as that was something that she found difficult. Her poetry is a way of expressing her feelings about a range of those roller-coaster episodes that one comes across in life. Especially the romantic kind, or those parts of life on earth that one feels deeply and strongly about. From reading her poetry, one may feel spirituality emanating from the words. Her love of nature and the environment has always been an inspiration and a calming experience for her heart and my soul. Her daughter calls her a ‘tree hugger' and, yes, she thinks she must have been a tree soul at some point in a past life. She does feel grief for trees, and the flora and fauna, destroyed by the needless destruction of some who are in the ‘human' race. We need more love and kindness for all living things. And toward each other.
