RK Vetter grew up on two farms in Iowa, USA, and began her formal education in two one-room schoolhouses. She taught in elementary classrooms for twenty-one years in Nebraska, USA, then began a second career. A thirteen-year veteran storytime lady, she has been better known to preschoolers as ‘Library Kay'. She and her husband, Norris, now live in Spartanburg, South Carolina, USA, where she writes, ‘farms' her yard, and explores state parks and historical sites.
