About the authors

This publication incorporates contributions from 18 practitioners who are all current or former employees of 4C Associates Limited, one of Europe’s largest consultancies, dedicated to procurement and supply chain transformation. The authors bring over 400 years of combined experience in commercial, procurement and supply chain roles in public and private sectors. The idea for the book came from Ian McPherson Chief Operating Officer, 4C Associates. Ian McPherson OBE BEM FCIPS is an acclaimed practitioner in his field of complete supply chain management, following a successful career as a military logistician. He has taught smart procurement on the Acquisition Management MSc at Cranfield University and has been a visiting lecturer in the USA and France. Ian’s achievements include being an Executive Board member of the Single Source Regulations Office for the MOD, from its inception, and leading the review and establishment of a new Ministry in the Government of South Sudan.
