Synopsis

Yorkshire possesses within its boundaries many different landscapes, each with their own identity. In Yorkshire Encounters, Lin Watts has chosen seven of them and devotes one chapter to each. The journey then moves through Wensleydale and beyond, using the course of the river Ure, which flows on to our final destination of York.
