Synopsis
By far the most dangerous of the RAF's activities during World War II were the daylight attacks on enemy shipping, according to official returns of casualties, yet little has been written about these dramatic events. Many of these concentrated attacks took place in the Mediterranean, where a few RAF squadrons were successful in destroying vital supplies to enemy forces at critical times during the land battles. This book, written from a study of official records in Britain, Italy and Germany, is backed by numerous first-hand accounts and photographs from airmen who survived these operations.
