Synopsis
'Being a doctor wasn't such a good idea, was it Daddy?' said Cressie, my daughter then aged four, regarding me solemnly across the kitchen table. And I had to admit she had a point...' General Practice should never be like this. But happily, of course, it still is.

Dr Michael Sparrow has charted an unconventional course from the immaturity and uncertainty of life as a medical student, through hospital jobs and a six year spell in the Royal Air Force, to the immaturity and uncertainty of life as a rural GP. Author of the highly amusing Country Doctor: Tales of a Rural GP, he now lives in Devon.
