A propos du livre

Revue de presse

'Winter is full of mixed messages. Should we dread the bitter winds, or look forward to the crunch of snow? Laura Whipple's atmospheric anthology A Snowflake Fell captures all the contrasts of the season. Here you can discover a thieving squirrel and a tree that dreams of leaves. You can sympathise with Jack Prelutski, bundled up in his woolly clothes, or you can shiver with fear as Marilyn Singer's 'Deer Mouse' scampers from danger. Hatsuki Hori's sensitive illustrations whirl the reader from bleak landscapes to cosy firesides, and children will lover her lonely snowman. An inspiring book to share with your class when January begins to bite'- Junior Education --Junior Education. 'A Snowflake Fell is a compilation of poems about winter by Laura Whipple - including Ted Hughes, Jack Prelutsky and Jane Yolen - illustrated in atmospheric pastel and watercolour by award-winning Japanese artist Hatsuki Hori' - The Bookseller --The Bookseller. 'A warm, joyful collection of poems that depicts the beauty of winter in its myriad forms. Featuring poems by Ted Hughes, Jane Yolen, Nikki Giovanni and many others with breathtaking illustrations of snow scenes, animals and people by Hatsuki Hori. A beautiful gift book that will be handed down through the generations' - Family Interest Magazine --Family Interest Magazine
