No Binding. Etat : New. No Jacket. Here is information about Sheet 112: One Inch Sheet 112 Chesterfield, Mansfield & Matlock 1889 - published 2004; intro by John Gough. ISBN.978-1-84151-700-1 This One Inch to the Mile map covers an area of Derbyshire around and to the south of Chesterfield. Coverage stretches from Chatsworth Houe and Beeley eastward to Mansfield in Nottinghamshire, and from Brimington southward to Alfreton. Clay Cross is near the centre of the map. Apart from Chesterfield and Mansfield, the OS also gives town status to Sutton in Ashfield, Bolsover and Alfreton, but defines Matlock as a village. Features of interest include the old lead mines near Matlock, the Midland Railway's Teversall and Pilsley branches, and many collieries and old coal pits. On the reverse we include a more detailed map of Pilsley, complete with directory. It is not possible to list the many hamlets, farmsteads and other topographical features shown on these maps. However, you might find it useful if we here list the majority of the principal villages and church parishes that are included on this map. Links are given for those for which detailed large-scale maps are also available.
