Susan Elkin is an education journalist and former secondary school English teacher. She has worked for many years to promote and develop pupils' reading at all levels. Author of 25 books, she has written several books on the subject of literacy including The Teaching Assistant's Guide to Literacy, Encouraging Reading and 100 ideas for Secondary School Assemblies.
