After its successful development in the crucible of World War II, the tank had come of age. Since World War II, tanks have proved themselves in every conflict, including Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, the Gulf, and the Arab-Israeli wars.

The vehicles covered in this volume are those of the 1950s and 1960s – the Russian vehicles used to such effect all over the world by Communist regimes, the T-34/85, the T-54 and T-62. The post war U.S. Army is covered in the shape of the M60 and M61A1RISE main battle tank and unusual M551 Sheridan with its 152mm Shillelagh rocket launcher/gun main armament. Emphasising the importance of mobile artillery are the US M41 and M43 howitzer motor carriages.

The armoured fighting vehicles in this book provide much scope for the modeller and the tips and pointers provided will help in super detailing, painting and achieving a top level of realism.
