À propos de l'auteur

Retired US Navy Cdr Louis B Dorny was an acknowledged expert on America’s most famous flying-boat, the PBY Catalina, and was fascinated by its crucial employment against Japanese forces in the Pacific War. He interviewed numerous veteran crews during the course of his research over the past four decades. He sadly passed away in 2021. Jim Laurier attended Paier School of Art in Hamden, Connecticut, from 1974–78 and has since been working professionally in the field of Fine Art and Illustration. He has been commissioned to paint for the US Air Force and has aviation paintings on permanent display at the Pentagon. Jim is a Fellow member of the American Society of Aviation Artists, the New York Society of Illustrators and the American Fighter Aces Association.
