Synopsis

Ex-con Steve Blade is sent down for seven years for attempted drug trafficking. Maverick DCI Jack Priestly is disgusted and resolves to have nothing more to do with Blade. Biographie de l'auteur

John F. Plimmer retired from the West Midlands Police Force as Detective Superintendent in 1997, having been involved in the investigation of many high profile murders, leading the investigation into thirty-six - all of which were successfully concluded. He now lectures on serious crime management to post-graduates and trainee detectives. He is also a newspaper columnist and feature writer. Bob Long was a boy soldier who deserted from the army after three years and became a professional armed robber. He was held as a 'Category A' prisoner until 1986. Childhood friends, the two met again when Plimmer arrested Long at the scene of an armed robbery.
