Synopsis

Since the first Kakuro puzzle appeared in a newspaper in the autumn of 2005, it has gathered more and more fans, all caught up in the fascination of solving this brain-teasing puzzle. Like Sudoku, Kakuro is played on grids of varying sizes. The object of the game is to fill in each of the white squares (which, grouped together in an unbroken horizontal or vertical line, make an entry) with the numbers 1 to 9, the aim being to make the sum of the numbers in each entry match that of their associated 'clues' the numbers in the divided grey boxes. However, each entry must contain the numbers 1 to 9 only once with no repetition. Sudoku was great - Kakuro is better; step up and take the challenge, and be the first to master a game that is sure to set the nation on fire.
