David Appelbaum gained his Ph. D. from Harvard University and his M.A. from Exeter College, Oxford. He has studied and taught philosophy for over thirty years and is currently a professor of Philosophy at State University, New Paltz, New York. In addition to his contributions to a wide range of periodicals, he has served both as a general editor and as book review editor of Parabola magazine.
