This series offers the core teachings of the world's greatest philosophers. Each volume extracts the essential ideas of a major thinker in a way that brings these ideas to life and makes them accessible. Here is a selection from the key works of William James, presented with an interpretative essay and biographical sketch. This easy to read introduction explains why James' work is overwhelmingly valuable to us today in getting to grips with the spiritual dimension of human experience. It highlights his unique experience of colliding with European and American ways of thinking head on and the core elements of his transformative new philosophy.
