Synopsis

This superb, richly illustrated reference by renowned author A. T. Mann is arguably still the most illuminating guide to astrology around. Its central premise is the link between astrology and biological time, which allows for the easy dating of a sequence of an individual's astrological life events - from conception to old age - using a logarithmic time scale. The ability to identify and describe events back to conception and throughout gestation adds a new dimension to astrology, and is especially useful for psychotherapists. Ingeniously, however, the structure of the book allows access both for those who are advanced in the art as well as those with no previous knowledge of astrology. The author also sets astrology in its historical context, showing how it is impossible to separate from the mainstream of human thought. The astonishing breadth of this classic tome elevates astrology to its true position as the science and art of wholeness. It marks a groundbreaking attempt to integrate modern ideas in astronomy, psychology and physics with traditional astrological thought.
