Ed Sheeran was raised in Framlingham, Suffolk, and moved to London in 2008 to pursue a music career. He is a four-time BRIT Award winner and a double Ivor Novello and Grammy award winner. His album '+' debuted at number 1 in the UK, and was certified quintuple platinum, and his second album 'x' peaked at No. 1 in the UK, Ireland, the US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, Finland, Denmark, Switzerland and Norway, and was the fastest and best selling album of 2014 in the UK. In March 2017, Sheeran released '÷', which debuted at number 1 in 14 countries. Every single track on the album reached the top 20 of the UK Singles Chart in the week of the album's release.
In 1998, aged just 16, Phillip Butah was the youngest prizewinner in the competition Young Artists' Britain: The Prince of Wales's Young Artists' Award. He went on to study Fine Art at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. He lives and has his studio in the East End of London. Phillip has collaborated with Ed on artwork for his singles and albums, and says of the book: 'I love working with Ed - it's a real privilege - and I'm really excited to be collaborating with him on such an exciting project; his music, talent and achievements inspire me.'
Take one acclaimed singer-songwriter megastar and pair him with one of the most talented young artists of his generation and what do you get? Book dynamite.
With words by Ed Sheeran, and artworks and photos by Phillip Butah (who has produced the artworks for Sheeran's albums and singles), Ed Sheeran: A Visual Journey promises to be a stunning, intimate book. As 2014 sees Ed bringing out a new album and performing a UK tour in October, this will be the ultimate souvenir for his fans: an inside look at the life of one of the world's best-loved and most successful musicians.

With words by Ed Sheeran and illustrations by his childhood friend, artist Phillip Butah (who produces artwork for Sheeran's albums and singles), and accompanying photos, Ed Sheeran: A Visual Journey is an exclusive, fully authorised, first-person account by Ed of how he became an internationally renowned singer-songwriter.
